Exploring the Mandala of Dolores Park (2 of 5)

Rather than a traditional mandala this one is more organic. I was inspired by the flower and its petals. Upon the flower I placed the main character of the book, Dahlia, a beautiful woman. Upon her body the flowers of the chakras. These represent nodes of cellular organization contributing to whole domains of reality in what Jung has called the most elaborate religions metaphor on earth.

The woman is the imaginative point of entry for the reader to enter the world of Dolores Park. We come to the experience of enlightenment thingking we know it, hoping to be open to it. Say somethign about the worldand the city and how it is allgoin on. The concensus reality vs. the external reality and how this is the only way to confront that. Dolores Park is a very political book in that sense. Next we look at the stages of how this work. The structure of the book
who starts out acknowledging life as we know it, while expressing the desire to transcend the everyday world by achieving nirvana.
