  • Cultivating the Texas Twister Released
Book is a memoir of a poor Texas marijuana farmer in the late 70s. It traces the growth in sophistication as he learns the art of sinsimilla. It is also about the expansion of the artists mind as a garden, and the development of a work ethic as an overeducated slacker makes peace with the heat.

  • The Secret of the Cicadas' Song Released
The time of the book is a peyote trip, in which the poet questions the fractal nature of realty. Consciusness observes psychadelic time expansion while undergoing psychadelic time expansion. This is an open field poem and an extended internal monolog of a man walking through the fields on peyote. It treats of the Archtypes of Perception. It uses haiku to bring the reader present to see through the poet's eyes. It explores semiotics and ideogramatics and images and notation as object as it gets closer to the archtypal language that the universe promulgates at all times but which can be heard only under conditions of expanded awareness when the defenses have been let down and the filters of awareness deactivated.

  • It gave me an insight into the struggle an artist goes through to fight the mainstream and to find a muse. Halfway through the book, I found myself thinking of the fable about the grasshopper and the ant.

The book gives an in-depth understanding of the marijuana subculture-the lifestyle, the passion for the weed, the paranoia, etc. I never understood all that. It was fun reading about the Austin area and old times. I liked the ending, too. It felt right.
