Querying the Entity with Matrix and Mandala
|
The image at right shows the matrix in the plane of depth like a chess board, and in the horopter, the mandala in the background. There is an Entity Relationship diagram of the Dream Dramturge entity setting up the scene into which to run a dream. On the left side above the horizon is a graph of the night sleeper drifting in and out of REM sleep. In the upper right in the expanded flowchart for the Dream Dramaturge traversing a tree to grab elements of memory and association and compose a dream. This is written out in a kind of pseudocode for the Jung-Bohm algorithm about bringing in actuality from a holographic 4D potential space. (Chapter image collages try to pack images from the story. They try to sum up in one image, one visual gestalt what the chapter is trying to convey with all those words.) The story of the chapter is told in somewhat technical database admin style about Walker as he seeks to adapt the amazing CASE (Computer Aided Software Engineering) tool called Entity Relationship modeling to create a tool for writers. (Called humorously the Graphical Sententiator.) We see him working as a tech writer getting information from the subject matter experts, we see him reviewing matrix and database, they we see him applying the matrix analysis of Levi-Strauss to myth to the analysis of his dreams. Finally he starts using a REM detector night sleep mask to teach himself lucid dreaming. addressing the camera as she performs her ballet /tai chi ritual in the forest. We see several of Walker's dreams some of which he draws. He is becoming a student of dream yoga. Seeing Through the Spell of Transference shows an experienced traveler over and over entering an unknown domain as a technical writer, and him finding how his writing carries him and how it changes as the modern sinks in. |
