Sex is the Antigravity of Metamorphosis
is a road novel / comedy of manners about what happens when a woman picks up a man and they decide to live together. It is the 1st novel in the “My Years of Apprenticeship at Love sextet” about Walker Underwood,

The story is told from the perspective of both the man but the woman is equally present. Shifting between third and first person narrative within their stories, we enter fantasy and dreams or see the characters from outside through a ‘bookmovie’.

It is a comedy of manners about two lovers, she is a young mom named Rayne, in Montreal who picks up Walker. His is the story of the series, and this book sets the level of intellectual and experential investigatory writing of the books as they follow his story across three decades of studying the ways of love. This book  depicts the expansion of the poet's mind under the shaping influences of powerful sexual experience, falling in love, the responsibilities of being a father figure, the encounter with the sign system of Other that is love's apprenticeship, and the deeping of personality from recovering time through crossing parallel families.  Rayne is a college teacher of videography and we are present to see the growth in understanding of that medium in its heyday 1975. The tone shows an innocent becoming wiser in the ways of love and art. It expresses the hope and excitement of hippie consciousness.
